This new process can modify any conductive object, submicrometer to micrometer scale with a wide range of materials to form a disymmetrical particle.

The process overcomes the drawbacks of the methods known to date. The technical implementation is three dimensional. It has a great flexibility, which makes possible the formation of a wide range of Janus particles in terms of materials (base metal, carbon, conductive polymers … see table), sizes, shapes and types.

The process which was finalized by the laboratory allows formation of Janus particles (bifonctionnal) with these specificities:

Size: 200 microns to 100 nanometers,
Shapes: isotropic or anisotropic,
